Ukrainian forces shelled several settlements in Russia's Belgorod region. At least two women and two others were killed and 11 injured.

Moscow's Defense Ministry said 50 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated as they tried to cross the border into the region. More than 2,500 residents of Shebekino district, the hardest hit by Ukrainian shelling in recent days, have been evacuated from their homes and are currently housed in temporary collection centres. The governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said a bomb fell on a road in the village of Maslova Pristan.
