Henrique Cappellari, 30, accused of punching and kicking his girlfriend Giulia Rigon, a 31-year-old shop assistant from Asiago. The prosecution, represented by prosecutors SerenaChimichi and Alessia Grenna, had asked for a life sentence for the man.
The collegial court, presided over by judge Lorenzo Miazzo, ruled that C appellari be placed on probation after serving the sentence. According to the prosecution, the Vicenza saleswoman was killed by a blow so strong that it broke her sternum.
