Ramón Ángel Abregú (70) escaped from prison in 2000 and last year he turned himself in to claim the prescription of the case. The Justice of Tierra del Fuego ruled in his favor.

The decision was adopted by the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeals of the city of Río Grande. This resolution was appealed in a final instance before the Superior Court of Justice of the province, so we must wait if the ruling remains firm.
