Hirayama is a man who has many keys, but he is not rich. He is the protagonist, part anti-hero and part fallen angel, of Perfect Days by Wim Wenders.

The title Perfect Days itself is a reference to the cult song by Lou Reed. Hirayama likes pop-rock classics such as Van Morrison, Otis Redding and Patti Smith that he regularly listens to in his black van full of brooms while driving in modern Tokyo. The film is in competition at the Cannes Film Festival and applauded at the press preview.
