The crew includes 17 Filipinos, two Bulgarians, three Ukrainians, two Mexicans and one Romanian. Houthi spokesman Nasr Al-Din Amer declared this to CNN: "The ship and its crew are in thehands of the brothers of the Hamas resistance movement and the Al-Qassam Brigades" The ship was hijacked in November by pro-Iranian militiamen in the Red Sea.
