Iliad buys 19.8% of Tele2 for 1.16 billion. Tele2 is one of the main telecommunications companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The telco closed 2023 with revenues of 29 billion crowns, equal to 2.6 billion euros. The operation, as stated in a note, was conducted through the vehicle FreyaInvestissement which, at the end of the transaction, will become the reference shareholder of tele2. The Iliad group has reached an agreement with Kinnevik to take over a 19. 8% share of the capital of the Swedish telephone operator Tele2.
