In Argentina the government withdraws the omnibus law - Latin America. The move was dictated by a lack of consensus on key points of the initiative, such as privatizations and security issues.

The government accused the so-called dialogue opposition of "betrayal" by promising a showdown. "The caste has opposed to the change that the Argentines voted for at the polls", said the minister of the Interior. "Politics does not reflect what the Argentine people voted for," said Guillermo Francos.
