In local authorities, there are twice as many female graduates as males, but only 41% are managers. Even then, although 53% of local authority employees were female (3% less than those surveyed in 2021), managers were men in 60% of cases.
In general, the local public administrations with the most female managers are those in Abruzzo (48%). Followed by Molise and Valle d'Aosta (47%), Emilia Romagna (46%), Calabria, Campania and Liguria (45%)
