Moshe Kovacs, 82, was treated with dialysis for four years and waited for a suitable donor. Kidneys from an elderly donor are generally considered to have poor function compared to a young donor.

Together they provide sufficient activity to allow the patient a new life free from dialysis dependency. "The act in itself testifies to the greatness of his soul and his family members," says Moshe's wife of 43 years, Hadva Kovacs. "On the 2nd of Shvet, two kidneys were transplanted into my husband's body - for the future and good hope," she adds.
