Diet can have a significant influence on the development of cancer. Processed meat or sausage in particular can increase the risk of tumor growth.

The German Cancer Aid recommends a cancer-preventive diet, including a varied, predominantly plant-based diet with little sugar and meat, as well as regular exercise. Do not cook or fry too hot. Avoid being overweight and exercise regularly. Use unspoiled food, avoid mold and use gentle preparation methods. Avoid trans fats, prefer healthy fats such as olive oil.
