Israel gradually returns to normal after a quiet night following the announcement of a truce with Islamic Jihad in Gaza. The director of the National Security Council Zahi Hanegbi thanked Egypt's President Abdel Fatahal-Sissi.
"Israel is committed to respecting the formula that 'calm we will respond with calm'", he said. According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, 33 Palestinians were killed and 147 injured in this round. There were two deaths in Israel, one of them a Gaza laborer who was working in an Israeli company.
