The Princess of Wales has received multiple messages of support since announcing her cancer on Friday March 22. According to an Internet user, who herself received a letter, she has already started to respond to these wishes for a speedy recovery.

“Both the Prince and Princess have been extremely touched by the messages of sympathy sent by people from the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world,” Kensington Palace wrote in a statement released on Sunday March 24. For his part, King Charles III, also suffering from cancer, reads “almost all his mail”, according to his official website, and takes a “keen interest” in the messages. However, the thank you note shared by @AllemarieHoll1 on X was exceptionally devoid of a photograph. The Internet user had in fact sent Kate Middleton a greeting card during the month of January, after the latter underwent “abdominal surgery”. It is customary for the palace to send letters accompanied by a photograph, but this missive deviated from tradition.
