Town hall of Biscarrosse (Landes) has decided to close the town's beaches from this Saturday March 2. This is a consequence of the severe weather that has recently affected the region.
The beaches must be closed again on March 9, with sand replenishment planned. Lake Biscorrosse is also prohibited from access, due to trees which threaten to collapse because they are weakened by the winds and the waterlogged soils. The erosion had not been seen since 2014, according to the local press.
