Maduro listed as presidential candidate in Venezuela - Breaking news. Thousands of delegates from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) have indicated the president, Nicolas Maduro, as their candidate in the July 28 elections.
According to the PSUV, the designation has emerged for over 15 years. "I congratulate the PS UV and the people on the field, who have carried forward their assemblies and their proposals. We will win!", commented Maduro from his X account. The designation emerges from over 15,800 assemblies held across the country.
