A security source who requested anonymity said the vehicle was carrying "a leader of Hashdal-Shaabi", a coalition of former paramilitaries integrated into the regular forces and bringing together pro-Iranian armed groups. "We do not know the identity of the people killed, whether they were civilians or affiliated with armed factions," says Al Jazeera's Baghdad correspondent.
