An unexpected downpour on the Lusail circuit complicated the MotoGP plans for next Sunday's Qatar GP. The riders to postpone pre-qualifying until tomorrow and instead carry out a normal free practice session in the evening.
The fastest on the wet asphalt was Marc Marquez, riding the Gresini team's Ducati with a time of 2'06''544. Prudent Francesco Bagnaia, who set the 12th time, while his teammate Enea Bastianini achieved seventh. Only 18th for Jorge Martin, who had been the fastest in the previous session.
