Murder of two carers: final life sentence for the accused. Two victims disappeared in the spring of 2014, a few days after arriving in Syracuse to respond to a job advertisement published by the accused to care for his elderly father.
The bodies of the victims were found buried in the accused's villa years later. The Supreme Court of Cassation declared inadmissible the appeal brought by the defenders of the accused against the sentence of the Court of Assizes of Appeal of Catania of 12 July 2023.
