Surat Diamond Bourse recently opened in the city of Surat, in western India. The building encompasses 660,451 square meters of office space, which exceeds the area of the Pentagon, which is about 620,000 square meters.
The impressive center opened with a grand launch ceremony on December 17, 2023, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new complex is of high national importance, as it is supposed to become a world center of research and trade in diamonds, and attract many traders and tourists.
