The 22nd edition of the Sol d'Oro competition is underway, a prestigious international blind tasting olive oil comparison. 450 samples from Italy, Spain, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal, France, Greece, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
There will be six categories included in the competition: Extra Virgin (Light, Medium and Intense Fruity), Monovarietal, Organic and Dop. The medal-winning oils and those awarded with Great Mention may bear the words "Concorso Internazionale Sol d’Oro Northern/Southern Hemisphere 2023" on the label.
