A 21-year-old girl, Negar Karimian, was seriously injured and later died in hospital. She was returning with her family from an uncle's funeral in Aligudarz district, Lorestan province.
According to a source close to the family, the girl was returning to Isfahan when the police shot at the car without warning. The source added that Negar was taken to hospital and died three hours later from her injuries. This was reported by the Hengaw human rights organization and Iraninternational.
