Millions of Pakistanis began voting this morning in a parliamentary election marred by allegations of fraud. Authorities said they would suspend mobile phone services across the country during the vote "to maintain law and order" At least 28 people were killed yesterday in two bomb explosions outside candidates' offices in southwestern Pakistan, in attacks claimed by ISIS.
"Precious lives have been lost" in recent militant attacks and that "security measures are essential to address potential threats," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
