British comedian and actress Catherine Tate will star in the three-part "Doctor Who" anniversary special for the series' 60th anniversary at the end of the year. In addition, she already has another series iron in the fire, namely the royal comedy "Queen of Oz", which starts on June 16 on BBC One.

Six episodes have been ordered for the new series, which will star Tate as the English party princess Georgina, who is exiled to Australia after a public embarrassment involving school attendance and alcohol.
