Rebellin, prosecutor agrees to plea deal of 3 years and 11 months - Last hour. Wolfgang Rieke, the 63-year-old German truck driver who hit and killed the cycling champion Davide Rebellin.
The request was made this morning by the man's lawyers before the Vicenza court, after the agreement on the sentence had been rejected at the preliminary hearing. The defense also requested the conversion of the sentence from detention to house arrest. The college will decide on March 11th.
