Record attendance, furniture, stained glass windows… how the Archbishop of Paris is preparing the reopening of Notre-Dame. Laurent Ulrich was “seized with fear and sadness” on April 15, 2019, when he discovered the building in flames on television.

He was then archbishop of Lille (North), before being appointed head of the archdiocese of Paris less than three years later. Since then, he has overseen the reconstruction of the interior of the cathedral.
