Turnout down at 12 noon for the run-offs in 7 capitals and 34 municipalities. In Sardinia, where voting takes place in the first round for 171 municipalities, the partial turnout is 17.17% (22.93% at the previous municipal elections) The turnout figure bucks the trend in Ancona, Pisa and Vicenza, a sign of particularly felt challenges.
Voting is also taking place in 128 Sicilian municipalities, including Trapani, Syracuse, Ragusa and Catania.
