"Either the free movement of people and goods applies to everyone, or the Treaties are worth a little less to some," says Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini. "The Brenner corridor does not belong only to Austria, Italy or Germany but is essential for the whole of Europe," he adds.

The Transport Council takes note of the economic and environmental unsustainability of the situation at the Brenner Pass. It calls on the Commission to intervene to restore the right to freedom of movement for all European citizens.
