(ANSA) - LUXEMBOURG, JUNE 01 - "The Council takes note of the economic and environmental unsustainability of the situation at the Brenner Pass and calls on the Commission to intervene as guardian of the Treaties to restore the right to full freedom of movement for all European citizens".
So Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini at the Transport Council held in Luxembourg.
"Either the free movement of people and goods applies to everyone, or the Treaties are worth a little less to some," Salvini stressed, adding that "the Brenner corridor does not belong only to Austria, Italy or Germany but is essential for the whole of Europe." (ANSA).
