"It is fantasies of some newspapers that it cannot be achieved before the European elections: autonomy is already rooted in parliament, 2023 is the year of autonomy, we are convinced supporters of other reforms" says League leader Matteo Salvini. "At the end of this legislature a federal republic in which citizens directly choose who governs them and for five years that is the team" says the leader of the League.
"I think it will be something positively revolutionary" says Salvini of the future of Italy.
