"It is fantasies of some newspapers that it cannot be achieved before the European elections: autonomy is already rooted in parliament, 2023 is the year of autonomy, we are convinced supporters of other reforms because there are no governments that come and go and changes of majority and changes of casacca, that is a constitutionally longer path in which we believe". This was said in Treviso by the leader of the League Matteo Salvini.
"At the end of this legislature a federal republic in which citizens directly choose who governs them and for five years that is the team and that is the majority - he concluded - I think it will be something positively revolutionary".
