Six botanical gardens in Germany that are worth a visit. Almost every federal state can boast one or more lovingly maintained grounds with native and foreign plant species.

The Rhododendron Park in Bremen has the largest collection of rhododendrons and azaleas in the world with 650 wild forms and 3,500 cultivated varieties. The old Sünteleches with their twisted botanical rarity in Lower Saxony, are particularly worth seeing in the Nymphenburg Botanical Garden.
