Russian authorities have given Alexei Navalny's mother an ultimatum, threatening that if she does not agree to hold a secret funeral, his body will be buried in the penal colony where he died. Mikhail Khodorkovsky said the Kremlin would like Alexey Navalny’s funeral not to be public because it fears possible protests.

"No one can predict what impact the funeral may have: they could be as quiet as Prigozhin's or there could be huge clashes in Moscow," he said.
