The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) this Wednesday prohibited the manufacture and sale of a brand of olive oil. The product does not have health authorization and is falsely labeled, as explained by that control body.

The measure was made official through provision 1349/2024, which was published in the latest edition of the Official Gazette and was signed by the head of Nélida Agustina Bisio. The ban affects "First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Estancia del Norte brand," according to ANMAT.
