Rollable Flex is a prototype panel for mobile devices that Samsung presented at Sid Display Week 2023 in Los Angeles, California. The movement that drives the opening is represented by a motor that unfolds the panel like a parchment.
The company believes that this technology will make it possible to build smartphones with flexible displayslighter and thinner. The prototype display measures, when opened, about 10 inches, starting from less than 2 inches when closed.
