The Government places its confidence in the Energy bill under consideration in the Senate. The measure, approved by the Chamber on January 26, also provides for rules on reconstruction in the territories affected by recent exceptional floods.
The energy decree approved in the first reading in the Chamber with 184 yes and 83 no votes is structured. The decree allows the cultivation of geothermal resources for geothermal electric use even in termalis areas, while guaranteeing the maintenance of the characteristics of the water. The president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani, is appointed extraordinary commissioner for waste management.
