The Ministry of Human Capital led by Sandra Pettovello stopped the creation of five new universities. They are the national universities of Del Delta, Pilar, Ezeiza, Río Tercero and Madres de Plaza de Mayo.

The approval by law of the new universities was in September of last year. The decision leaves the review in the hands of the Secretary of Education, the former Minister of Education for Higher Education, who will decide whether the universities are in compliance with the law.
