A church in the commune of Charly, in the Rhône, has begun removing stained glass windows by Louis Ribes. The artist-priest who died in 1994 was convicted in 2022 of rape and sexual assault on 49 minors.
According to the Sauvé report, the “Picasso of the church” is suspected of having raped 300 people in the region. In October 2023, a similar procedure was carried out within the church of Sainte-Catherine (Rhône)
