There were over a thousand deaths at work in 2023, almost three per day. Almost three deaths a day although a decrease compared to last year and previous years up to pre-Covid.
The accident reports presented to INAIL between January and December 2023 were over 585 thousand (-16.1% compared to 2022), of which 1,041 were fatal (-4.5%), however, occupational diseases are still on the rise, almost 73 thousand (+19.7%).
