The U.S. Embassy in the Bahamas has issued a security warning and travel warning that the island nation is now unsafe for tourists amid 18 murders. Islands Prime Minister Philip Brave Davies addressed the frightening violence last week, saying roadblocks and undercover police operations would be initiated to contain the crisis. Earlier this week, the State Department also raised neighboring Jamaica to level three out of four on its travel warning for the country.
