Some batches of tuna sauce and radicchio sold under the brands Cucina Nostrana, Freschi Bontà and I Freschissimi have been recalled from the shelves for the possible presence of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. This was announced by the Ministry of Health which reported the precautionary recall on the portal.

Listeriosis typically occurs as gastroenteritis within hours of ingesting contaminated food. In some rare cases it can lead to the onset of meningitis, encephalitis and septicemia.
