The series does not hesitate to provoke retching by drawing the viewer into its stormy twists and turns where each character gradually reveals their secrets. In Broadchurch, Daniel's death is an upheaval from which no one will emerge unscathed. Not even detective Alec Hardy, freshly arrived and therefore foreign to the community of residents.
