President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella placed a laurel wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Altare della Patria, on the occasion of National Unity Day. After having reviewed the units of the armed forces deployed, and having listened to the national anthem, Mattarella stopped in contemplation at the The Unknown Soldier.
At the end of the ceremony Mattarella greeted the high officials of the State, including the prime minister Giorgia Meloni and the president of the constitutional court Augusto Barbera.
