The motive for the accident is still being investigated, although the images give an account of the brutality of the blow. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at kilometer 62,500 of the Pan-American Highway. The driver of a dump truck of a road company did not realize that he had the elevated raft system and rammed the top of a pedestrian bridge. The truck and the car have already been removed, while only the raft that hit the bridge was left in place.
