A depression in the northern Atlantic blocks warm air over the continent but a cool maritime wind will chase away the heat bubble. A brief heat peak began this Saturday April 6, with temperatures above 25°C in most of France.

The mercury will go down as quickly as it rose from the afternoon of Monday April 8. According to Météo France, temperatures will however "start to drop from the west on Sunday" and "this drop will be marked, with a drop of around 6°C to 10°C compared to the day before"
