About 80,000 people pass through the central "Ha Hacha" station in Tel Aviv every day. A little over 30 years ago, it opened with great fanfare as the second largest bus station in the world.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection declared the area affected by air pollution according to the Clean Air Law. The solution they offer is a new social-transportation space, which will absorb the values of the city and also allow for regional development. "This is an environmentally friendly central station. Along with transportation services such as a level for buses and future light rail and metro lines, the station will also offer social services: shared bicycles, etc."
