A deep Atlantic trough will reach North Africa by the weekend. Good news against the extreme drought that is affecting Sicily; even in Sardinia some rainfall will finally arrive on a thirsty land. The weekend will be winter-like, perhaps more autumnal than winter as temperatures will not drop to particularly cold values.
