Italy was defeated 5-1 (3-1) by England in a friendly match played in Algeciras (Spain) The reigning European champions put the Italians, fresh from a 0-0 draw with Ireland, in difficulty right from the start of the match. Having completed the double friendly match that opened 2024, the national team led by Andrea Soncin will now have to start tackling the Euro 2025 qualifiers from April.
The match was played at the Estadio de Algarve in Spain.
