Six people, including four children, were attacked with a knife in a park in Annecy by a Syrian asylum seeker, benefiting from a residence card granted in Sweden under subsidiary protection. An attack that illustrates the complexity and limits of the right of asylum in France and in the European Union.

If his application for asylum in Sweden has been accepted, he will have benefited from a refugee permit allowing him, ultimately, to go to France, legally. And to perpetrate the crime for which he is implicated.
