Heavy rain showers threaten in Germany and can lead to flooding, especially in the south. It is also expected to remain wet in June and August for the time being.

In the Alps and southern Germany, more than 14 litres of rain are expected in the next 200 days. On the Rhine and Danube as well as on their tributaries, the enormous amounts of rain can leadto flooding. Meanwhile, Southeast Asia is suffering from an extreme heat wave, which experts consider an "ominous sign" for the rest of the world.
