A suspect of extortion was arrested with threats of protection in the south Israel today. The South District Attorney's Office submitted a prosecutor's statement in preparation for the filing of an indictment and a request to continue his arrest.

The investigators of the central unit of the Negev Region opened an investigation last December into the suspicion of extortion by threats against a foreman and contractor employees. According to the suspicion, a resident of the Sawa settlement in his 50s, arrived at the work site and threatened the workers.
