Regensburg city council is always good for surprises. In the election for the aldermen's selection committee, the candidate of the co-governing CSU failed.

The fact that this coalition has once again failed to come to an agreement is still causing internal question marks and annoyance. The CSU man Troidl was thrown out in the first round of voting with only 22 votes – not even all members of the coalition voted for him. The opposition candidates Simon (28 votes) and Mayr (29) do much better.
